I had been planning my summer soiree/ garden party for about two months when the day had finally arrived!
As soon as I placed the last fork on the table, I hurried back inside to retrieve and place the flower arrangements.
“Are those rain clouds?” my mom said as she looked out our kitchen window.
I told her that it never rains in LA, and there was supposed to be 0% precipitation.
Lies.
LIES!!!!!!!!
I walked out of Blushington on Sunset Blvd., and looked down at the dark abyss of what was supposed to be a sunny day in Los Angeles.
Rain drops began to fall on my windshield.

Panic swept over me.
Since when the hell does it rain in LA?/ when does it rain in the summer?/ how the hell could it rain on my Soiree?!?!?!
Thank baby jesus, the rain went away and the clouds parted as soon as the first guest arrived.
The soiree was such a success. I really wanted to have a summer party to bring all my friends together and just enjoy a hot LA evening outside.
Lisa’s luau was fun while it lasted, but my days of taking shots are over with.
Below is the menu for the evening.
Cocktail:
Appetizer:
Tomato crostini with whipped feta
Dinner:
BBQ chicken, grilled asparagus, and the Contessa’s orzo salad.
Dessert:
Sweet Lady Jane triple berry cake.
We went to The Wilshire after the soiree, and I won’t discuss details of the rest of the night, but the next morning it looked like the
zombie apocalypse…. with wreath’s.

The rest of the time that the sorority posse was in town, we literally ate everything Los Angeles had to offer.
From Izakaya to Cronuts I need to do a cleanse right now.
Pressed juicery here I come.
Special thanks to my best friend Irina for helping me for three days straight, my mom for being a great cook, and for everyone that attended the soiree.
xo,
Giggles
