The weather has been wonderful these past couple of days, so I decided to brace the traffic (damn you 405) over to the westside for a little afternoon at The Bungalow.

We came very prepared for a long wait and began our chardonnay themed picnic while waiting in line.

After 20 minutes the wine disappeared so we pulled the classic half wait in line, while half drink at the Fairmont.
Once again we waited too long, and I finally asked the bartender, “can we order?!?!?!?!”

Meg ordered a whiskey water, and I ordered a vodka soda, to which the bartender then asks/decides to punish us in front of everyone, “do you want the cheap stuff?”
WTF?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I literally stared at him and asked what? He then repeated himself and Meg and I just stared at him in awe.
How RUDE to ask that!

Meg finally said, “I am fully aware of my financial situation and don’t need you to draw attention to it.”
We asked him to compensate us with free shots, which he did… reluctantly.

Despite his snarky comment and the almost two hour wait, it was a great end to a great weekend.
